Obstetrics

Your well-being during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period is essential not only for you but also for the health of your baby. Whether you're planning to become pregnant (preconception), are already pregnant, or are postpartum, the teams of specialists at our obstetrics and gynecology practices in Concord and Laconia can provide comprehensive obstetrical care.

As a prenatal care patient, you'll have the opportunity to meet the team who will provide information and care throughout your pregnancy. (Ultrasounds are available on-site at our practices in Concord and Laconia.) As you progress through your pregnancy, you'll receive ongoing monitoring to ensure you get the specific care you need. If you have social, economic, mental health, or substance misuse needs, our team will connect you to community resources for assistance and support.

In the event you require specialized care due to a high-risk pregnancy, we collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine specialists. We also partner with the Granite VNA for in-home visits when appropriate.

Birthing at Concord Hospital

When it's time to birth your baby, you'll deliver at Concord Hospital with a provider on our team present, as well as nursing staff at The Family Place.

Private Birthing Rooms

When you have your baby at The Family Place, you benefit from our family-centered approach to maternity care. Our specially designed labor and delivery and postpartum rooms are welcoming and inviting for your entire family. In most cases, you’ll labor, deliver, and recover in the same room so you can enjoy a comfortable environment and avoid unnecessary stress. Cesarean births take place in The Family Place operating suite, so you can recover in familiar surroundings with your support partner and baby close by.
